Intriguing, or Cliche?

If I came across a story that began with the words,
“When she woke up that morning, she had no premonition that her world would be turned upside-down before the day was over,” would I find the words intriguing, or would I groan at the cliche?
Or might I find that sentence to be an intriguing cliche? IS there such a thing as an intriguing cliche?
And will “intriguing” and/or “cliche” turn up later this week as the daily prompt?
I don’t have the slightest premonition!
